A 29-year-old woman dies in a house fire, Motithang- Thimphu

A 29-year-old woman died in a fire accident at Motithang, yesterday evening.

The fire gutted down about eleven temporary huts belonging to the Thimphu Thromde. Forty-one families living in the temporary sheds lost their entire belongings to the fire.

According to the Police Fire Service Division, the fire was suspected to have caused from electric short circuit.

The office of the Gyalpoi Zimpon visited the site and delivered His Majesty’s Royal Semso to the affected families. The office also provided school items to 13 school going children affected by the fire.
