The government has stopped dredging and export of boulders and riverbed materials from Toorsa river basin. This decision was taken after reviewing the Phuentshogling Town Development Project plan and progress executed by the Construction Development Corporation Limited.
A notification the agriculture and forests ministry issued on the matter last month states that all construction materials collected from Toorsa river basin will be reserved solely for the domestic consumption.
