The Office of the Attorney General has filed charges against a 58-year-old man in connection with an alleged sexual harassment and battery at the Thimphu District Court.
The incident allegedly occurred last month at a club in Thimphu.
Sources say the suspect was part of a group that included two female staff members of the establishment, both in their early twenties.
He allegedly made sexually inappropriate remarks toward one of the women.
When the other intervened, he allegedly struck her in the face. The case was reported to police and later forwarded to the OAG.
The suspect is currently out on bail.
