For the first time, Bhutan wins two bronze medals in the Men’s and Women’s doubles category of the South Asian Under 21 Regional Badminton Championship 2019 held in the Maldives.

Reaching the semi-finals of the competition, the junior boys and girls had to settle for the bronze medal as they were defeated by Pakistan and Sri Lanka respectively on Wednesday.

This is Bhutan’s first international medal in Badminton since the formation of Bhutan Badminton Federation in 1994. Seven South Asian nations took part in the third edition of the South Asian Under 21 Regional Badminton Championship this time.
