Panbang Basic Health Unit (BHU) in Zhemgang has recorded 13 dengue fever cases since July.
Five patients are still admitted in the BHU and kept under close observation by the BHU health officials of Panbang. The health officials described that patients suffering from Dengue are mostly civil servants with recent travel history in the infected area, which is also called imported case. Only one or two patients don’t have any travel history.
Dzongkhag health officials of Zhemgang urge people to take extra caution while traveling to dengue-infected areas. People are asked to visit a nearby hospital for prompt diagnosis and medical help if they experience high fever and headaches.
Of five admitted in Panbang BHU, two will be discharged today.
