Opposition Leader calls on Indian PM

The Opposition Leader Pema Gyamtsho (PhD) called on the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi this morning in Thimphu.

The opposition leader congratulated the Indian Prime Minister on his decisive electoral victory and on assuming office for the second term. During the meeting, they discussed various issues such as renewable energy, environmental conservation, and tourism.

The opposition leader expressed his appreciation for the support the Indian Government has rendered over the years and requested the Prime Minister of India to continue with the assistance. Prime Minister Modi assured that India will always remain a true and a trusted friend for Bhutan.
