The Secretary General of BAOWE, Phuntshok Chhoden Tshering, has been appointed as the Honorary Consul of The Netherlands to Bhutan.
She received a Royal Decree from Her Majesty Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands appointing her as the Honorary Consul.
Handing over the royal decree to her at a reception yesterday, the Ambassador of the Netherlands Bob Hiensch highlighted the importance the Netherlands Government attaches to Honorary Consuls abroad.
The reception was attended by cabinet ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from international agencies.
