The Bhutanese team was beaten 5-3 by Latvia in the ongoing UEFA ASSIST U15 International tournament in the Maldives yesterday.
The first half of the game saw the Bhutanese side trailing by a goal as Latvia lead 3 goals to 2. However, Bhutan bounced back after equalizing early in the start of the second half. Nonetheless, the Latvian side led again by scoring two more goals in the 52nd and the 73rd minute. The match ended 5-3 in favour of Latvia.
With the defeat, Bhutan will now have to win their last match against Saudi Arabia to qualify for the finals. Bhutan will play Saudi Arabia day after tomorrow.
