Woman dies in house fire

A 49-year-old woman died in a house fire at Khangkhu in Paro yesterday. The fire, which started at around 2 am, had gutted down the one-storey house.

According to the police, the woman is said to be partially paralyzed and lived alone in her home. The deceased is survived by a son and two daughters.

Firefighters took more than two hours to contain the fire.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
