The major roadblock at Tsherphu,41.5 kilometres from Nganglam towards Gyalpozhing is expected to clear after two days according to the Department of Roads (DoR). The Nganglam-Gyalpozhing highway has been closed to traffic since June 16.
A landslide triggered by heavy rainfall has also washed about 10-meter stretch of road.
The road officials say falling boulders is hampering their efforts to clear the block. However, the road is expected to open by Friday.
