His Holiness the Je Khenpo is presiding over a week-long Moenlam Chenmo in Trongsa. This is the first such ceremony being performed in the Dzongkhag. More than 300 monks and Lam Neten of Trongsa Dratshang led by His Holiness the Je Khenpo are presiding over the Moenlam Chenmo. A Bazaguru Dungdrup is also being performed.
The Organiser, Trongsa Sidhi Melom Chenmo Tshogpa, said the prayers are aimed to bring peace and prosperity in the world and for the well being of all sentient beings.
More than thousand devotees from in and around the Dzongkhag including nuns from Kuengarabten are attending the ceremony.
The week-long Moenlam Chenmo will end on Monday. His Holiness will also administer Tshewang or blessings for long life on the last day.
