A contractor from Trashigang is in Paro police custody for allegedly stabbing a taxi driver to death and injuring his recently divorced wife.
The incident, which took place at Drukgyal, was reported at around 2 am yesterday.
The suspect, in his statement to police, said he had gone to meet his children when he found his ex-wife with the victim. The suspect and his wife separated about two weeks ago.
The victim was stabbed in the right chest and below the ribs.
Police say the deceased is survived by his wife and three children who are back in his village in Monggar.
