(Update) Over 100 vehicles including passenger buses are still stranded at Thrumshingla pass between Monggar and Bumthang due to continuous snowfall.
According to the Deputy Executive Engineer of the Department of Road in Sengor, Tashi Tenzin, two excavators are deployed and salts are being sprayed to clear the road.
He said there are two blockages- one from Gazamchu till Thrumshingla and the other from Thrumshingla to Sengor. He however said the block at Gayzamchu to Thrumshingla will be cleared by this evening.
Some of the passengers told BBS that they had been stranded in Sengor from yesterday. They said finding an accommodation and meals are very difficult.
