A total of 3,458 university graduates have registered for this year’s Preliminary Exams (PE). This is 426 graduates  less than last year.

On the other hand, the Royal Civil Service Commission (RCSC) has announced 589 slots in the civil service, which is an increase of 95 from last year.

The PE for the 2018 Bhutan Civil Service Examination (BCSE) is scheduled on the 5th of next month.

Of the total 589 vacancies, 304 are in the technical category, an increase of 30 slots from last year.

The RCSC has announced 205  slots for the Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and 80 for the general category.

The RCSC, however, announced that the number of seats for technical service is subject to change depending upon the number of candidates making through PE, availability of the field of studies and verification of documents.

Of the total graduates who registered for PE, 1,135  have opted for Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration (PGDPA), followed by 1,105 in technical, 670 in Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Management (PGDFM), 289 for PGDE and 259 for PGDE Dzongkha.

The number of slots for IT Education and Guidance and Counseling has also increased this year.

Meanwhile, the slots for Bachelors in Education (B.Ed) graduates has decreased by 25 seats. RCSC has announced 254 vacancies for B.Ed.
