Landslides triggered by overnight rain have blocked the road near Kuri-Gongri confluence along Gyalpoizhing-Nganglam highway.
The block site is located 42km away from Gyalpoizhing town towards Nganglam.
Officials from Regional Office of Department of Roads in Limithang said the landslides have washed away the base of the road. So, machines have already been taken to the site to clear the debris and repair the road.
However, continuous falling boulders are hampering the work. But, highway is highly likely to be open to traffic by tomorrow evening.
