Thimphu Police arrested a 35-year-old man earlier this month for allegedly involved in forging official documents of National Commission for Women and Children (NCWC).
Police say the suspect had processed Visa for five people to the US to attend a gender symposium without the consent of the commission.
Police also stated that the suspect forged the documents by using the commission’s official paper and forged the signature of a former official.
However, the case came to the limelight when the Delhi Embassy confirmed their process from the commission.
