Thimphu will get another artificial football turf ground soon. The ground is a part of a sports complex being constructed on a five-acre land in Serbithang, about one and a half kilometres away from the Babesa zero point.
Called Tenzinling Sports Complex, it is being built by a private individual. “Many young people love playing football but as of now, there is not a single private sports complex or football ground,” said Deki Lham, the owner of the upcoming sports complex.
The owner promises quality facilities for the players. She said the complex will have shower and dressing rooms for players. It will also have an indoor basketball court, swimming pool and gym facility at a later stage.
“It is of international size and we assure its construction will be of quality,” said Deki Lham.
Over 70 per cent of the works have been completed so far.
