Dungsam Cement Corporation Limited (DCCL) started exporting to North Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar from Phuentshogling, today.
Cement agents and distributers from India said transportation will be easier from Phuentshogling to these places.
The move is to meet the sales target as exporting from Nganglam in Pema Gatshel posed several challenges such as frequent strikes in bordering Indian towns.
DCCL’s monthly target is to export 11,000 metric tons of cement to North Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar. But, they have been able to export only about 3,000 metric tons.
Phuentshogling DCCL warehouse has the capacity of store 3,000 metric tons of cement.
