Memorandum of Understanding on “Giving Hands-on Experience to Bhutanese Youth on Construction Works was signed in Thimphu, today.
The MoU was signed between Ministry of Labour and Human Resources and Construction Development Corporation Limited.
The MoU states CDCL will provide hands-on-training to at least 100 youth in a year. The labour ministry will provide stipend to these youth. CDCL will also add on to the stipend.
CDCL will try its best to provide gainful employment in private firms after the training, states the MoU.
Meanwhile, to encourage and inculcate dignity of labour among the youth, Technical Training Institute graduates worked at the construction site of Hejo Bailey Bridge, today. They were led by the labour minister and officials from the ministry.
