OAG submits investigation report

OAG-Chang Ugyen(Update): The Office of Attorney General’s Prosecutor submitted 12 Thram copies and investigation report on Omkha and Lubding Land as requested by the former Royal Advisory Councillor, Chang Ugyen’s Representative.

In the last hearing conducted today, Chang Ugyen’s Representative also requested the Thimphu District Court not to allow media during the trial as it can affect the judgment.

The Representative said media has been writing more than the actual proceeding in the court.

The court ordered the media to do responsible reporting.

Chang Ugyen has been accused to not abiding by the Land Act 1967, violating Royal Kasho of 1980 and tampering with and creating a fake Thram while he was serving as the Chang Gup.

The next hearing will be on the October 29.
