For the first time, two Bhutanese women, will be guest-posing during the 7th National Bodybuilding Championship. Four women athletes from Thailand will also be guest-posing with them.
Tshering Cheki, 24, who is a B.Sc nursing graduate from Thailand, said her only apprehension during the event is the reaction from the spectators on clothing. “I feel proud but also very scared. We will be wearing shorts but I hope people understand.”
Another participant is Kinley Wangmo, 24, an employee of T Bank in Thimphu. She said she has been working out for almost a year now. She says her sole reason to participate was to encourage Bhutanese women to come forward.
Both of them are being trained by the Thai athlete women. The 7th National Bodybuilding Championship, Mr. Bhutan 2014, will be held at Youth Development Fund hall in Thimphu, tomorrow.
