“Bhutanese Textiles in High Fashion” opened

Bhutanese Textiles in High FashionAn exhibition titled “Bhutanese Textiles in High Fashion”, opened at the Textile Museum in Thimphu, today. Her Majesty the Queen Mother, Sangay Choden Wangchuck graced the opening ceremony.

It will be open for eight months. The exhibition will showcase a combination of Bhutanese textile traditions into current fashion trends. The exhibits are the collections from the fashion show “Window to Woven Dreams”, which was held in June last year.

It was designed by six local designers, two top Indian designers and SAARC Business Association of Home Workers.
