Pema Wangchuk, who lost to DPT’s Jigmi Y. Thinley in the general elections for Nanong-Shumar Constituency will contest, once again, in the by-election as the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate.
Pema Wangchuk submitted his nomination papers to the returning officer, today. The scrutiny of the nomination papers will be done on the 21st of this month.
The Returning Officer says a common forum and a public debate between the two candidates will also be held.
The people of Nanong-Shumar Constituency will head to the polls on November 9 to elect their representative to the National Assembly.
