The Ambassador-designate of Singapore to Bhutan, Lim Thuan Kuan, presented his credentials to His Majesty the King at the Tashichhodzong, today.
Ambassador Lim joined the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1984. Ambassador Lim has served overseas as First Secretary in the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta. After that he has served as a First Secretary and later Counselor in the Singapore Embassy in Washington DC. He was the Singapore Ambassador to Vietnam before becoming the first Singapore Permanent Representative to ASEAN in 2009.
The Ambassador has an Honours degree in Law and obtained his MA in Area Studies on South East Asia from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London in the United Kingdom.
Ambassador Lim is a recipient of Public Administration Medal and the Long Service Medal in 2007.
