His Holiness the Je Khenpo has appointed 46-year-old Lam Nawang Tenzin from Kurtoe Tangmachu as the Lam Neten of Lhuentse. Prior to his appointment, Lam Nawang Tenzin had served as the Khenpo of the Kilikhar Shedra in Monggar.
Lam Nawang Tenzin had joined Lhuentse Dratshang at the age of 5 where he completed the Ghar-thick Yang Sum. He then joined the Dechenphodrang Monastic School and studied Buddhist philosophy.
Lam Nawang completed his Masters degree from the Tango Buddhist College and later served as a teacher there. In 2000, He served as the principal of the Nga-Tshang Dratshang in Monggar.
Lam Nawang received the Rigzhung and the Wanglung Thri Sum from Dalop Kudey, Kinley Gyeltshen, and Je Thrizur, Tenzin Dendup, among others.
