Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj has been appointed as the next Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations in New York. The Ministry of External Affairs, India confirmed this yesterday, saying she is expected to take up the assignment shortly.
Ambassador Ruchira Kamboj, who joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1987, assumed charge as Indian envoy to Bhutan in 2019 and is the first woman Ambassador of India to Bhutan.
