To deliver quality cement to its customers, Dungsam Cement Corporation Limited (DCCL) in Pema Gatshel is working with experts from Siam Cement Public Company from Thailand. A team of experts from the Thai cement company are in the country for six months to work with DCCL.
The team is in the country following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two companies. The team will be assessing the problems at the DCCL plant.
“We shared with them all the problems that we have with the plant. We asked them if we could have a thorough assessment including crushing to the packing plant,” said Sonam Jigme, the Managing Director of DCCL in Nganglam.
DCCL had consulted the expert team in the past as well to maintain the plant. The company is currently working on stabilising the cement manufacturing plant as per the expert team’s earlier report.
The plant at the DCCL produces more than 2,000 metric tons of cement of three varieties. Working with expertise is expected to improve the quality and enhance the quantity of production soon. Today the company has five experts whose contracts will be expiring by the end of next month.
