The five day Under-19 Badminton Championship began in the capital yesterday. The tournament is being held at the Youth Development Fund Sports Complex.
According to the Coach, it is being conducted to select potential and talented players, and to promote the sport in the country.
After the training, the selected players will represent the Country in international tournaments. A total of 61 students from different Dzongkhags are participating in the Championship. The Championship will end on Thursday.
It is organised by the Bhutan Badminton Federation in association with the Bhutan Olympic Committee.
