Health ministry receives medical camp kits

The health ministry received two sets of Medical Camp Kits worth about US$ 13,500 from the World Health Organization (WHO) yesterday.

The Medical Camp Kit consists of ready-to-use equipment such as tents, furniture, basic medical equipment, sanitation facilities, electrical supplies and water connections.

It can be used to supplement or help replace damaged health facilities during emergencies and in remote places where there are no health services.

One of the Medical Camp Kits will be sent to Trongsa Dzongkhag hospital, while the other will be kept at the ministry.

The health ministry has so far received seven such kits from the WHO.

The sets received earlier were distributed to the National Referral Hospital, Monggar Regional Referral Hospital, Gelegphu Central Regional Hospital, Trashigang and Trashi Yangtse hospitals.
