In the latest development in a case involving Damcho Choden, the project manager of Buddha Dordenma Image Foundation, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has released her and detained her nephew.
The ACC released Damcho Choden last week after she was detained about two months ago for unexplained wealth and disproportionate assets and income.
She is being investigated for possible diversion of project fund, fraudulence and tax evasion.
The ACC has issued a notice, imposing a freeze on the transaction of immovable properties registered in Damcho Choden’s name.
