Sonam Wangchuk, 26, from Monggar secured the maximum votes in Monggar. He secured 4,821. He was nominated from Ngatshang Gewog.
He has pledged to build a vibrant democratic culture in Bhutan by amending existing laws and enacting new laws. “I will be always mindful about the Constitution of the Kingdom of Bhutan.
He also strives to serve Tsa-Wa-Sum with utmost dedication, sincerity and loyalty as per the mandates and functions of the National Council.”

College for Business Studies said he will support pro-youth policies and plans. He also said he intends to work on policies that will make Bhutan corruption free.
The former NC MP, Naichu, secured 4,484 votes. Another contestant, Tshering Wangchen got 3,338 votes.
