A fire accident yesterday at Raling chiwog under Nanong Gewog in Pema Gatshel left a 60-year-old woman homeless. She lost all her belongings to the fire which completely burned down her single-storeyed traditional Bhutanese house.
The Dzongda handed over the Royal Semso and emergency relief kits to the victim. And officials from the Royal Insurance Corporation of Bhutan immediately delivered the rural insurance claim yesterday evening.
According to her, the fire must have started from her conventional oven. However, the cause is still under investigation. During the time of the accident, the woman was out for her work.
