The Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, and her 19 member delegation left the country, today. The Chief Minister was on a 5-day visit to Bhutan upon the invitation of the Prime Minster, Tshering Tobgay.
During her stay, she was granted an audience with His Majesty the King. She also met with the Prime Minister and other cabinet ministers. The Chief Minister also took part in a Business Conclave held in the capital where she spoke on the need to strengthen trade relations between Bhutan and West Bengal. This was her first visit to Bhutan.
