The US Ambassador to India, Richard Rahul Verma, who was in Bhutan yesterday, said they are working to improve visa application process for the Bhutanese applying to visit the United States of America.
Bhutanese, travelling to the US, have to process their visa through US embassy in India’s capital, New Delhi and several other Indian cities.

“We have had a lot of dialogues about it and I promise you that this is a subject we will keep working on.”
The Ambassador said they will try to make the experience as smooth as possible for people.
“We want Bhutanese to travel to the US. The fact I am here and talking about the issue, it is an important area.”
This is the Ambassador’s second visit to the country.
