Bhutan will be receiving 500,000 doses of Moderna vaccine from the United States of America in the coming days. The White House Press Secretary confirmed that the US government dispatched the doses yesterday.
The shipment is part of US president Joe Biden’s pledge to donate 80 million US-made vaccines globally to counter vaccine disparity. The Moderna Vaccine is currently authorized for people who are 18 years and above.
Meanwhile, in the same batch, the US has also sent another three million doses of Moderna vaccine to Indonesia and 1.5 million doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine to Nepal.
