UNiTE campaign to violence against women launched in Monggar

UNiTE campaign-violence against womenThe UN Secretary-General’s  “UNiTE campaign to End Violence against Women” was formally launched in the country in Monggar. It is aimed at raising awareness and increasing political will and resources to prevent and end all forms of violence against women and girls.

During the launch, officials from the National Commission for Women and Children briefed the women participants on the laws that protect them. They also gave the brief background of the campaign. Hundreds of women from across the country joined the launch on Monday.
