Tsirang police, dzongkhag officials and Dratshang jointly cremated an unidentified body, today. Even after 12 days since the body was found, no one had turned up to claim the body.
The police had sent out missing person notification after a road worker had found the almost decomposed body at Changchey Dovan, along the Tsirang-Thimphu Highway.
The deceased was wearing yellow gumboot, yellow T-shirt and blue track pants.
The body was kept at Damphu Hospital until yesterday.
Police have ruled out foul play.
