Two die in fire incident

Two die in fire incidentA 65-year-old woman and her 35-year-old son died after the house they live in, caught fire, yesterday. The incident occurred at 5 AM in Chubja Village at Gangtey under Wangdue Phodrang.

By the time they found out, the neighbours said, it was already too late.

They said two LPG cylinders also exploded inside the house making it even more difficult for the neighbours to rescue the residents.

The fire spread quickly since most part of the house was made of wood.

The deceased are survived by a daughter.

A semso of Nu 30,000, on behalf of His Majesty,  and relief kit have been handed over to the gewog representative to be handed over to the daughter on her arrival.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
