Two apprehended for alleged possession of contraband substance

Tsimasham police apprehended a 26-year-old woman for allegedly possessing controlled pharmaceutical substance, last night.

She was carrying over 4000 pieces of tablets and capsules. Police found the contraband substance hidden in one of her luggage.

The suspect was on her way to Thimphu from Phuentshogling in a Taxi.

The taxi driver told the police he was not aware of the consignment when interrogated.

Similarly a 22-year-old man is under Tsimasham police custody for allegedly possessing about 1500 pieces of pharmaceutical substance, last week.
