The Trongsa-Zhemgang highway has remained blocked since last night.
A swollen stream washed away about 50 metres of road at Yeshigang which is around 20 kilometres away from Trongsa towards Zhemgang.The Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Project Authority has deployed workers and machinery at the side. If weather improves, the highway is expected to open to traffic by tomorrow evening.
