In a bid to transition to e-governance, the Ministry of Information and Communications, today, launched three ICT initiatives.
The initiatives include an “e-gov master plan” that will form the basis for ICT plans of ministries and agencies in the 11th Five Year Plan, an “e-gov management system” to address institutional and e-governance requirements, and an electronic government inter-operability framework (e-GIF) that will ensure better communication among government ICT systems.
The Ministry also signed an agreement this week with Google to establish a secure and reliable email system for the government and government organisations to support the paperless government initiative.
