Three Dzongkhags choose three candidates each for NC

Zomdu-FinalWangdue Phodrang Dzongkhag has three candidates contesting for the upcoming National Council elections. The Zomdu for the 15 gewogs completed on Monday. Sonam Yangchen from Nyisho Gewog, Chador Namgay from Thedtsho Gewog and Tashi Dorji from Rubesa Gewog were nominated to be the contenders in the upcoming elections.

Meanwhile, after the completion of similar zomdus in Samdrup Jongkhar, three candidates were chosen to represent the dzongkhang for the National Council elections. The nominees are Jigme Wangchuk form Lauri Gewog, Kinga Dorji from Orong Gewog and Sangay Lhendup from Samdrup Jongkhar Thromdey.

In Monggar, from the 17 gewogs, three candidates have been nominated. People of Narang Gewog nominated Tshering Wanghen from Khalong Village under Narang Gewog. Ngatshang Gewog nominated Sonam Wangchuk from Yadi as their candidate. The former National Council representative, Naichu, was nominated from Saling Gewog.
