Three apprehended for chorten vandalism

ChortenVandalised-TrongsaPolice in Trongsa and Wangdue Phodrang have apprehended three men for vandalising chortens.

The accused have confessed to the crime of vandalising four Namgay Khangzang chortens.

Of the four, one was in Trongsa Tangsibji and three in Wangdue Phodrang.

Police recovered one cat’s eye and other ornaments from the three men.

The apprehension is part of chorten vandalism crackdown operation the police is conducting in the country.

The three men are currently under police custody in Wangdue Phodrang.
