The Thimphu police arrested the elderly man whose video with a woman went viral on social media platforms, recently. Police could not arrest the man earlier because there were COVID-19 positive cases from the building in which the man lives.
He was arrested on 18th January, only after the Health Ministry claimed that the building is no more a COVID-19 hotspot. Police earlier said there are several other such videos of the man with other women. The case against the man was registered some weeks ago by a woman who was in one of the videos.
Meanwhile, police said they do not want to comment until the lockdown is fully relaxed.
