The second entry gate in Phuentshogling from the border town opens to the heavy vehicles today. They can now easily reach the new mini dry port which will be used for the customs clearance for the vehicles carrying consignments.

Meanwhile, light vehicles can now enter Phuentshogling from both the gates. However, all vehicles exiting the town have to go from the main gate. According to the officials, this initiative will help ease traffic congestion in Phuentshogling and neighbouring town of Jaigaon in India.

The second entry gate was opened to facilitate the economic activities across the border in June 2017.
