A group of teachers and a singer are braving the wintry cold, moving from town to town, talking to the people to educate them on the ills of alcohol consumption.
They started their campaign from Samdrup Jongkhar yesterday morning, carrying banners and putting up posters.
The group intends to walk 270 kilometres from Samdrup Jongkhar to Monggar, stopping at the various small wayside towns and settlements along the highway, talking to people, performing short plays, and singing songs.
They also hope to promote a culture of walking among the Bhutanese.
