Ten people arrested in connection with Lhakhang burglary

ReligiousScriptFoundThe police have arrested two people involved in the burglary of religious scripture written in gold from a Lhakhang. They were apprehended from Ramtoktok on January 19.

According to a press release from the Police, the suspects were inside a swift Dzire car. Upon inspection, the police recovered three pages of gold script from the dashboard and the rest, 325 pages, were recovered from the car’s trunk.

Two other people were arrested from Thimphu, five from Zhemgang and one from Bumthang. All of them are believed to be accomplice to the crime of Lhakhang Burglary.

The investigation is underway.
