Team Jachungs won the Winter Basketball Championship. The final was played at the indoor swimming pool basketball court in Thimphu, on Friday. Team Jachungs defeated team Phojas by four and a half baskets.
The winner took home the championship trophy and a cash prize of Nu.30,000. The runners-up team was awarded a cash prize of Nu.20, 000 and a trophy.
The organiser, Sonam Tashi said the championship will be organised twice a year, one in summer and other in winter.
Twenty four teams participated in the tournament. It was organised by Neulee Events in collaboration with Bhutan Basketball Federation.
