Tea and coffee virtual buyer-seller meet

Providing exposure to the production and export of tea and coffee from India, the Indian Embassy in Bhutan organized a virtual buyer-seller meet yesterday.

In 2020, Bhutan imported Nu 131 M worth of tea and Nu 1.7 M worth of coffee from India. With an increasing demand for coffee and tea in the country, the Bhutanese importers said having more varieties could help boost the business.

The Embassy in collaboration with three cafes in Thimphu is holding a Tea and Coffee promotion week starting today.
