The passenger bus that was stranded in Bumthang since last Friday, left for Lhuentse, at around 6:30 this morning. Over 25 passengers, including children were stranded in Bumthang for two days after the coaster bus they were travelling in, broke down.
The bus broke down due to a mechanical failure at Yotongla on Friday.
The bus was repaired last evening.
The coaster bus that was headed to Lhuentse from Thimphu, on Friday, broke down at about 10 PM in Yotongla. Some passengers, then, made their way to Bumthang in other vehicles. Six passengers had to spend the whole night at Yotongla as there were no vehicles to transport them.
